QuantiLoop has this option too.

from QL manual: "Note: To start overdubbing immediately instead of at the beginning of the loop, the overdubbing mode may be set to instant in the phrase settings."

The Boomerang 3 has a setting for recording a loop and going directly to overdub mode, like if you wish to layer stuff right away, or do drones. Is there a way to do this in GTL? Or could there be someday?
